On November 20, TTCU Federal Credit Union celebrated 90 years of serving members.
TTCU was founded in 1934 by a group of local educators, coming together to support each other with much needed loans and financial assistance. Linnie B. Wilson, TTCU’s first President, kept the first deposits in a cigar box, in her classroom desk drawer. Members of the credit union could do transactions during her planning period.
From those humble beginnings, TTCU has grown into a $2.6 billion institution with 21 branches across Oklahoma, serving more than 153,000 members.
“We are still very proud of our heritage of serving our local educators,” said President and CEO Shelby Beil. “At TTCU, you will be much more than an account. We exist to help make our members’ financial lives better. We’re here to do what’s best for you.”
