For J.C. and Jonna, the decision to build their dream home was easy.
They weren't finding any houses that met all their requirements near their children's school in Verdigris and found that the price to build was about the same as the price to buy in the area.
"Why wouldn't you build a brand-new home instead of taking someone else's leftovers?" Jonna said.
They knew just who they wanted to get a home loan with, too. They called a mortgage loan originator at TTCU to start the process.

J.C. and Jonna found the perfect lot that backs up to a pond and a playground. They're excited for the outdoor living space and the chance to customize everything about the house.
"We're building our forever home," Jonna said. "We can pay off the mortgage before we get close to retirement and live here for a long time."
They plan to continue to use TTCU to build savings for their kids and retirement.
